Impa Bagur, a 15-year-old adolescent, enjoys keeping herself busy to see her future goals.
“I want to go to medical school, and I want to become a surgeon. But that’s just the goal. I’m just hoping to get anywhere into the medical field,” Bagur said.
Bagur is currently a sophomore attending Smoky Hill High School. Like any other high school student that wants to pursue a career after high school, Bagur is very involved in activities, athletics, and clubs.
“I play club volleyball. I’ve liked volleyball and I work at a place called Kumon and I volunteer at this health care place,” Bagur said.
In addition to this load of extracurriculars, Bagur is heavily involved with the Speech and Debate program at Smoky Hill as well. Just recently, she placed second in the “Raptor Rumble” competition that was held at Eaglecrest High School.
Above all, Bagur chooses volleyball as her favorite activity that first sparked interest in her at the beginning of middle school.
“My dad was like, you should just try it in middle school because it was just another sport that you could try and then I really got to like it,” Bagur said.
Club and school volleyball isn’t just a sport for her. Bagur has taken away several lessons from this sport that she implements into her everyday life.
“Communication and teamwork are super important,” Bagur said.
Through it all, volleyball will be an unforgettable experience that is a crucial part of Bagur’s life. As of now, Bagur is still continuing her volleyball journey at Elevation Club Volleyball playing the 2021-2022 club volleyball season for her age group. She also hopes to pursue a further career as a student volleyball athlete or medical student after high school.
