Smoky Hill Wish week is taking place Monday Jan. 25 to Saturday Jan. 30. Wish week is full of events hosted by student government to raise money to make 5 year-old Andalyn wish come true.
“I am mainly looking forward to the dodgeball game. I know it is like annual thing for the school but I never really got to participate but I am this year and feel like I have a good team so I’m super excited,” junior Kaleigh Villarreal said.
The dodgeball game starts at 7.30 p.m in the East and West gym it cost 5 dollars to get in the game, proceeds will go to the Make A Wish foundation.
“I love when wish week comes around and we get to be apart all the after activities like the dodgeball game because even though it is fun things for everybody in the community to do we are raising money for a good cause and I am always happy to help,” junior Lynsey Robertson said, “I also get to actually be apart of the dodgeball game because I’m one of the coaches this year.
According to teacher Kathleen Kleeman not only does the dodge ball teams consist of students, teachers are included as well.
“I think dodgeball night is great because it gets teachers, students and people in our community involved and it gives people a chance to express their school spirit and I think that’s awesome,” Kleeman said.
