“Star Wars:Battlefront- Battle of Jakku” DLC is set for its free release  December 8. The official trailer was posted by EAStarWars Youtube channel  November 3. Playstation had released a second trailer December 1.

Those who preordered the game, had early access starting December 1. “Battle of Jakku” takes place on Planet Jakku 29 years before the events of the upcoming Star Wars movie, “The Force Awakens”, in theaters December 18.

Having the game come out a week before the movie comes out was good strategizing by EA DICE because many will flock to get a small back story, and play it, before they see it on screen. People have said that the game gives some insight to how to events in the movie came to be, like a prequel in a game.

November 17, “Star Wars: Battlefront” was released on Playstation 4, Xbox 1, and Windows. Gamers had been looking forward to its release and remains the topic of conversation as of now.

The trailer also introduces two new maps which will be one of most anticipated aspects of the new game.

There is a new playing style introduced into the game called Turning Point. This is similar to that of “Walking Assault”.  Which is a 40-player gamemode which seems like a ¨point-capture” type of gameplay from the “sneak peaks” seen so far.

This adds a new aspect to the game, which is really exciting considering what a hit Battlefront made in early November.
