April (Snow) Showers Bring May Flowers
After a week of warm temperatures, snow arrives.
After a week of sunshine and summer-like weather, students are disappointed to wake up to snow and temperatures in the 40s. Today, the high is 41 degrees fahrenheit with light snow flurries falling early in the day.
The snow began on Sunday morning as a cold front passed through the Denver area, dropping approximately 6.7 inches of snow although most of the snow melted. Around 2.5 inches began to stick later in the afternoon.
For students like freshman Madison Ashby, the winter weather is disappointing. “It is kind of stupid, because we were wearing shorts and now we have to wear winter clothes,” Ashby said.
