AP Exam Time
Students Prepare for the AP Exams
May 1, 2015
The AP exam is taken to give students a chance to earn college credit, and to see how well students have learned the material given to them in their classes. They are typically about two to three hours long and have a multiple choice section and free response questions that students need to fill out.
With AP exams just around the corner (starting on May 4) students are running out of time to study and prepare for the test(s) that they will be taking. In order to take the test students had to be enrolled in an AP class, payed their exam fee, and went to one of the bubbling sessions to fill out information about the exam(s) that they are taking.
“I am taking the AP Government test on May 12,” Sophomore Hunter Allen said.
All the exams that students are taking, cover the entire school year of material that they learned in class. Students need to know all the information because they don’t know what is going to be on the test. Students have been going over any of the vocab or materials that they have received in class. Some students are even going over old test to see what they still need to work on in order to get ready for the test.
“I have been reviewing all of my old test and working on the study guide that the teacher gave us.” Allen said
In some classes, if students are taking the AP exam they won’t have to take a final for the class. What they score on the exam will be their final test grade for the year. Students who are not taking the exam will have a final that they must take in their class in order to get their final test grade.
“I have Mrs. Sheil and we only have to take the the exam and the score we get on the exam will be our final grade,” Allen said.
