Summer is coming our way, and the only thing standing in our way is finals. Here’s 10 strategies to help you destress and how we can prepare ourselves to pass them.

Our scheduled finals days are Mon.-Wed. 23-25.  4G,3G and 2G on Monday. Then 1G,4R and 3R on Tuesday. 2R and 1R on Wednesday.

If you need to come in to make up a final or finish an exam you will have the opportunity to do so May 27; just schedule an available time with your teacher(s).

According to https://www.examtime.com The 10 strategies to consider are:

  1. Listen to classical music in order to boost up your brain power and to create positive vibes around you, which will elevate your mood by encouraging to study more and longer.
  2. Take A Quick Walk. Instead of studying your brains out minutes before the test and elevating your anxiety, walking around helps relieve your stress ,it’s  proven   research done by Dr. Chuck Hillman of the University of Illinois  . A quick walk also helps to boost your brainpower and memory.
  3. Plan a Study Routine. With our schedule listed above, plan your own studying schedule. With initial effort, you’ll become more productive  as each day approaches closer and closer to your exam date, by studying hard and being motivated with what you learned.
  4. Relax. Just as important it is to make time to study, is making some time to relax. It helps improve concentration and sustain energy. Schedule a time to take a mental break. Once you return to work you’ll be refreshed and stress-free.
  5. Get enough sleep. Helps assimilate knowledge into your long-term memory, so that you can recall it on your testing day. It will help you to feel calmer, remember more, and do way better in your exams. Other than not sleeping at all and forgetting what you learned.
  6. Laugh. Laughing helps boost your endorphins and even curbs your stress hormones.
  7. Give Your Mind Space. Meditating helps seeing your stress from a different perspective. It improves focus on both mental and physical health to reduce pre- exam stress.
  8. Eating Dark Chocolate. Sounds crazy but it says that 70% of cocoa, helps fight stress hormones, and releases endorphins. It makes your body relax and stress free.
  9. Talk it Out. Sometimes talking about it to someone helps you figure out how you are feeling, and empower you to rise above the exam stress.
  10. Unplug. It maybe hard for you to unplug yourself from Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, or whatever vice you use. Just keep in mind that your studying time is valuable, and the more you connect, the faster you’ll get it done.
