Raven Scott, Staffer
A junior at Smoky, Raven is in her first year of working on the newspaper staff. Staffers are responsible for writing current weekly articles that cover breaking news that impact and connect to Smoky. Raven joined newspaper because she thought it would be pleasantly entertaining to have a class with her friend. Little did Raven know, newspaper has shown her how much she enjoys to write. Newspaper also allows Raven to inform the people in her community about things that are going.
During Raven’s free time, she enjoys watching reality tv shows, reading what is going on throughout the world, dancing and much more. Raven is a very outspoken person who is also very intelligent. Raven is very openminded and will take any risk that is thrown at her. Raven likes to talk to people which is a good skill to have as a reporter. Raven is open to ask questions and listen. Many will say Raven is an uplifting, entertaining, and high spirited person. Newspaper has helped her to get out of her comfort zone and talk to people she does not normally talk to. Since starting her first year of Newspaper her listening skills have increased.
Later in life Raven would like to see herself being a Plastic Surgeon or a Pediatric, and believes that Newspaper will help her to become either of those. Plastic surgeons need to be up to date on what is hot and what is not. Raven also believes that Newspaper helps her to be more aware of what is going on.
