Pumpkin Festival at the Botanic Gardens

Come enjoy the last day of this Autumn Festival!

Elizabeth Fernandez, Staffer

Autumn doesn’t get any more seasonal than the Pumpkin Festival at the Botanic Gardens. I know what you’re thinking, that’s really far! Especially for the Smoky Hill Community but before you completely reject the idea, hear me out. Yesterday I went with my two younger siblings and let me tell you, it was super fun! Which was a little surprising, I’m not going to lie, mostly because I’m a teenager and as years go by, things just don’t seem as fun as they use to be when you were little. At this Autumn event, there was barrel train rides, giant hamster balls, hayrides, unlimited jumping on a giant pillow, and pony rides. Oh! And not to forget the 7-acre corn maze. (Which I got lost in about five times!) There’s also a mini-maze for little explorers under the age of 10. Today’s the last day of this awesome event so think, decide and go to the Botanic Gardens.

Corn maze admission: $12/adults; $13/students, military and seniors (65+); $11/children (ages 3-12).
