McDonalds Offers Kids Free Breakfast

Children 15 and under can now get a free breakfast at some McDonald’s locations in Colorado from six a.m. to nine a.m. This latest offer became available today, Sept, Tues, 15,. Minute Maid and The Western Dairy Association are working together to make the breakfast meal free for kids.

According to Coloradian.com, “The companies are doing the free meals for kids so that they can give kids a chance of having a healthy breakfast option before they go to school in the mornings.”

Kids who want to take advantage of the McDonald’s free meals have the option of having an Egg McMuffin or an Egg White Delight McMuffin with apple slices. Kids can also choose from having one percent white milk or orange juice. All children who take part in the deal have to have a parent or guardian be with them when they order.

The nutrition information for these healthy breakfast items goes as follows:

The Egg McMuffin, apple slices, and one percent milk has 420 calories, 13 grams of fat, 20 grams of protein, four grams of dietary fiber and zero trans fats. Children can also trade in the one percent milk for a Minute Maid Orange Juice has a 460 calories, 13 grams of fat, 26 grams of protein, four of dietary fiber and zero trans fats.

The Egg White delight McMuffin, apple slices, and the one percent carton of milk has 370 calories, 10 grams of fat, 26 grams of protein, four grams of dietary fiber and zero trans fats. The same options in the above sentence with the Minute Maid Orange Juice taking the place of the one percent milk carton contains 420 calories, eight grams of fat,  20 grams of protein, four grams of dietary fiber, zero trans fats.

Kids cannot substitute any portion of the meal for something else and the deal is only available while the supplies last.
