Marvel’s newest superhero movie is…strange

Dr. Strange is a superhero film based off of Marvels Comic books starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Tilda Swinton and Rachel McAdams.

The movie revolves around acclaimed urosurgeon, Dr Strange (Cumberbatch), as he tries to find a way to heal the nerves in his hands after a car accident left them damaged.

Honestly, I didn’t really like this movie all that much. Although the actors portrayal was amazing, I think the plot sped up way too fast. Also the central conflict which is more with man vs. self the way that Cumberbatch’s character deals with his ego and how he struggles to let that go, could’ve been developed in a better way.

I think that the way that he studies to better himself should’ve been showcased. He was reading a language he had never seen before and it went from him knowing nothing to everything.

Overall I honestly don’t think that this movie is worth seeing, and I give it a 2 out of 5 stars for the actor’s performances .In the end, it couldn’t makeup for the missing plot.

Dr. Strange has received a 90 percent on Rotten Tomatoes and currently has $325.8 million in the box office against a $165 million budget.
