Combusting With Laughter

Smoky Hill’s Improve Group Is Your Next Big Laugh

Lola Howard, Staffer

If you’re looking for something to laugh at, than Smoky Hill’s improve group, Spontaneous Combustion, is what you’re looking for. Behind the laughs, a lot of tech work goes into every once of the show. Tech, of course, has its ups and downs.

“I really like getting dinner with the crew after,” said James Shienbaum, spoco lights head.

“The hardest is probably the setup because of the time restraints, and making sure all the equipment in all the right places and dealing with other technical issues such as the light board not working or the sound board not working etcetera.” senior tech head, Alyssa Marshal said.

“I love being able to do what I love with my favorite people,”said Senior tech head Alexia Geiger said.

However, the shows aren’t always hectic “The best thing about being on tech is the people, cause they’re all so friendly and so nice and I love hanging out with them and we have our own little techie community that’s like a little family.” Marshall said.

Spoco shows are usually on fridays, starting at 7:15 p.m. However, the next show isn’t until January 26, the last day of wish week.
