CCSD Day at the Capitol

Flyer for the event

On Thursday March 23, Community members of the Cherry Creek School District are invited to go to the Capitol to hear speaker Lt. Gov. Donna Lynne.

I think this is a great chance for students to get involved in the community.

I feel that as teenagers, our voices are often overshadowed by those of a higher power so by participating, it is a great opportunity to make change.

As part of the tour, participants may be able to meet with members of the House of Representative and the Senate.

Their jobs are to carry out the law so if students would like, they could pitch new ideas to their State Representatives.

Participants will also get a chance to meet with Legislators for a Q&A and lunch will be served.

To register for this event, participants must go to either the Cherry Creek School District website or the Smoky Hill High School Website and click on the link from the bottom. From there, it will go to a page with more information and the registration form.

Participants must mail their form with the $12 fee per person by Friday March 17. Lunch is also apart of the fee. Please make all checks payable to Cherry Creek Legislative Network.
