Animal Rescue Club is a club that tries to help animals in need. They focus on dogs and horses. They meet every red Thursday at 2:45 p.m.

Even though Animal Rescue Club mainly focuses on dogs and horses, if a member of the club wanted to work or try to help another animal, the members of Animal Rescue Club would try to put together something that includes that specific animal. “We’ve only been working with dogs and ponies right now, but we’d be open to help any animal,” freshman Yasmine Mohamed said.

Animal Rescue Club participated in the Homecoming Parade. Since the club is based on helping animals, they brought along their dogs to walk in the parade along with them.

“We go to different animal shelters or we actually are going to go to a Pony Farm. Were going to try to do some fundraisers throughout the year for different animal shelters.” Mohamed said.

When I first met Mohamed she told me she was the representative for Animal Rescue club for club of councils.

“We actually do not have too many members at the moment and we would love to have as many people as we can. I think [that is[ because we had a bad reputation [because] we didn’t do anything last year. But, this year, I have a couple of people who are really trying hard to get us really good contracts, and to actually help the animals. We’re going to too have a good year.” Mohamed said.
