Freshman, Sophomores, and Juniors are Testing Tomorrow

Kyna Fitzpatrick, Editor

Wed. 21, freshman, sophomores, and juniors will all be taking a practice test to help them with their ACT. SeFullSizeRenderniors will be taking part in college related activities around the school. Wed. is not a late start for all students. There is not a late testing room, and all students who arrive late for testing will not be able to take the test.

All students received a paper from a science, english, or fast teacher depending on what grade they are in that tells them what the test is about and what room they will be taking the test in. There is also a link to a website for freshmen and sophomores who want to see what kind of questions are on the test. For juniors, a site called MCT Test Prep is available for them all through the year that can help them with the practice test tomorrow and the real test later in the school year.

The practice test for freshman and sophomores will let them know how well they would do on the act and what careers might suit them in the future. The Juniors testing lets students know how well they might score on the ACT later in the year.

Students should bring a couple of number two pencils for testing, and a calculator that is allowed to be used on the test. Some teachers will provide pencils for you, but  calculators will not be provided for students to use. Phones are not allowed in the testing room and can not be used as a calculator during testing.

Calculators that can be used on the test are TI-89, TI-92, TI- Nspire CAS, HP 40G, HP 49G, HP 50G, Casio: Algebra fx 2.0, ClassPad 300, ClassPad 330.

There will be breaks in between each test and snacks and drinks will be provided. There will be no classes after testing concludes around eleven o’clock that morning. Students will be able to return home after testing is over.

” I am taking the PACT tomorrow, but I have not studied for it yet,” said Junior Sang Dao.
