May 5, 2016 is the official day that Smoky Hill’s yearbook will be released to the student body.

Since the distribution is such a highly anticipated event for the community, there is a specific schedule that revolves around it. Here’s the schedule:

YEARBOOK DISTRIBUTION IN WEST GYM BEGINNING AT 2:10 P.M.

During this time, students receiving yearbooks will be able to get their yearbooks signed by their peers and teachers until the school day is over at 2:30.

The yearbooks have already been printed.

Prices began at $60 at the beginning of the year, however, students may still purchase one (without a name plaque) for $80. The book can be purchased from Carrie Faust, the yearbook adviser, in Room I-219. Cash, checks, and credit card are acceptable forms of payment.

For those who have bought a yearbook, a photo I.D. will be required for it to be picked up. If you plan to pick up someone else’s yearbook, you must bring THEIR student I.D., and a note saying: ___________ has my permission to pick up my yearbook for me, followed by a signature.

The staff is incredibly excited to see the reaction of the student body, as they have gone above and beyond to make a high quality yearbook. The “Yerds” have come in during off periods, after school on Wednesday nights, Saturday afternoons, and even during breaks to make this the best yearbook thus far. Riley Waller, Editor-In-Chief, is incredibly proud of the “Today” stories, which are feature stories that showcases Smoky Hill students’ with their accomplishments and passions.

“I am extremely excited to release the yearbook, I think a lot of people are going to love it. The photography and storytelling featured in the book really embodies the school as a whole and the spirit we have, as well as the different backgrounds we come from,” Waller said.
