Registration for the Cherry Creek School District is now open for registration for the two sessions offered during the first two months of summer vacation.

The summer school option will be available for students who have failed or received D in a class necessary for graduation or students graduating early. Rather than a student retaking a year long or semester long course, they are able to make it up within three weeks. For students planning on enrolling in the CCSD Summer School Program, there are two session that a students can participate in. The first session is June 6 – June 24, and is held at Overland High School. The second session is June 27 – July 27, with the weekend of July Fourth being taken off, and is held at Eaglecrest HIgh School. Regardless of the session or location, class will start at 8 a.m. and will conclude at 12:20 p.m.. However, the first session has class Monday through Friday, with exception of Wednesdays. The second session has class Monday- Friday.

The classes that are offered are core classes, with exception of Spanish I. Below are the courses that are offered during summer school in both sessions:

  • Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, English(9-11), Essay Writing, American Government, U.S. Government, World Geography, Biology, Physical Science, and Spanish I( second semester).

Registration is now open, although, a student must meet with a counselor in order to enroll into summer school. The deadline for session I is June 2 at 12 p.m., and June 16 at 12p.m. for session II. The prices are listed below:

  • Students who received an F: $120(ninth-grade only)
  • Students who received D: $240(ninth-grade only)
  • In-district 10-12 graders: $240
  • Out-of-district 10-12 graders: $350

The registration process must go through a counselor, or it will not be completed. Also, the process will not be complete unless the tuition is PAID IN FULL (all credit card payments will have an additional 3.6% added). Otherwise, cash is accepted, as well as a cashiers check. If needed, a cancellation fee of $25 will be deducted from the refund.

Because it is through the Cherry Creek School District, the rules that apply to traditional schools, will also apply to summer school. There is a tardy and absence policy that must be abide by, or the student may be/can be removed from the program without a refund. There is a drug-free policy in place as well, and any drugs will not be tolerated in any way.

To register for any summer school sessions, a counselor meeting is mandatory. For any questions, contact the High School School District Coordinator, Sarah Watts, at 720-866-5448, or the High School Summer School Office at 720-554-4350.
