A look at the end of the first NBA playoff round in the western division

11114westThe first round of the NBA playoffs is over.
The 1-seed Golden State Warriors played the 8-seed New Orleans Pelicans. The Warriors blew the Pelicans out in a quick sweep. Anthony Davis, who is the highest scorer of the Pelicans as well as one of the highest scoring players in the league, played in a match along with the league’s MVP, Steph Curry.
The 4-seed Memphis Grizzlies played the 5-seed Portland Trail Blazers in a series that was very anticipated. The Grizzlies defeated the Trail Blazers four games to one. The Trail Blazers maintained a low shooting percentage throughout the round. The Grizzlies will play the Warriors in a game many think the Warriors will win. “Warriors will win four games to one.” Junior Jordan Newton said.
The 2-seed Houston Rockets played the 7-seed Dallas Mavericks. The Rockets beat the Mavericks in five games. with the Rockets winning four games to one. The Rockets were led by James Harden.
The 3-seed Los Angeles Clippers played the 6-seed San Antonio Spurs. This was the only series that made it to seven games this far into the playoffs. The Clippers defeated the Spurs four games to three. The Clippers will play the Rockets next. “Clippers will probably win four games to three.” Newton said.
