NBA West Playoffs: Round Two

A look at the end of the second NBA playoff round in the western conference

The second round of the NBA playoffs ended Sunday, and the conference finals begin on Tuesday.
During the second round, the Houston Rockets played the Los Angeles Clippers in a long series. The series lasted all 7 games and game went down to the last minutes. The Clippers started out three games to two, ahead of the Rockets but in the six game, the Clippers blew a huge lead. The Clippers were leading by 19 points midway through the third quarter but had a low scoring fourth quarter with only 15 points during the entire quarter. They lost the game 119-107.
The seven and final game of the series was taken over by James Harden while he scored 31 points with 15 rebounds and eight assists. The Rockets maintained the lead for most of the game, but, in the last quarters the Clippers cut the lead to within ten points. A three point shot by Trevor Ariza gave the Rockets a big enough lead for them to close the game with a win. The Rockets will move onto the West conference finals.
The Golden State Warriors played the Memphis Grizzlies in the second round of the NBA playoffs. The Warriors led by the NBA MVP Steph Curry played a good series against the Grizzlies. The Grizzlies’ Marc Gasol had a good series but in the end, it was not enough because the Warriors defeated the Grizzlies four games to two.
