Making the World a Better Place

One animal at a time, Animal Rescue Connection is making the world a safer place for animals

Love helping animals? Well so does senior Jory Gray, who started Animal Rescue Connection. This is a club that talks about animal related-issues and how to fix them. They meet every Monday from 2:45 p.m. to 4 p.m. in room II-305.

Recent discussions among Animal Rescue Connection are about the factory animals and the confined space they live in. The problem is trying to save the factory animals and put them into family farms. Another issue facing them is that people want factory meat more than farm meat.

Next meeting, junior Rachel Jesmer will be focusing on animal testing. Jesmer has been with the club since her freshman year, and is a committed animal lover who likes to help in every way possible even by becoming vegan. Jesmer uses her free time to help members really understand why the club is so important. “I have always loved animals and I have always wanted to help,” Jesmer said.
