IB juniors and seniors took the IB Spanish test Wednesday, Jan. 27, to test out of Spanish, and to meet IB criteria and credits.

Junior Jena Staverosky will be taking the IB Spanish test.

“I am not the best in Spanish, and it’s not my favorite subject, but I figured four years of Spanish was enough for me, and I wanted new opportunities to take different classes,”  Staverosky said.

The test has two parts, a written and multiple choice, the written is based off three articles about either immigration, human rights, or the environment. IB test aren’t easy and must be prepared for.

“Slowly I’m becoming more and more prepared, I think my teacher is helping me a lot, I know the test on Wednesday is going to be hard, i’m gonna prepare more with some friends,”   Staverosky said. “Some friends and I going over vocab together and discuss different ways we could discuss the topic that the articles are going to be about.”

According to ibo.org there are six subject all IB students must test out of and Language is one of them.“Im freaking out a lot, because it determines partly if i get my IB Diploma, or not, so it very scary,” Staverosky said.

To future IB test takers, “Don’t stress out too much because it is part of your Diploma but you can compensate in other area. But make sure you take it seriously, and study for the test enough,” Staverosky said.
