How to Prepare for Finals

Finals are soon approaching and it is always better to be safe than sorry…

Finals are really stressful time for students- I know they are for me. Knowing how to prepare and organize can really take a load of stress off. So here are some easy, non-stressful tips to help with finals.

Get the finals schedule and plan a study schedule: Both Dean’s offices and some teachers have them. There is also a schedule on the school website. When planning for finals, it is really important to know which classes you have that day so you know what to study for.

Pay attention in class: Finals aren’t here yet which means that there is still curriculum to be covered. Curriculum that might be on that final. Just because it’s near the end of the semester, doesn’t give you the excuse to slack. Which leads me to my next point…

Don’t be Slackin: That means do what you can to make sure you finish off solid. Like getting all missing assignments in, doing extra credit, participating in PE classes. Anything to get your grades at a solid place before finals.

Start reviewing: It’s not to early to start reviewing for finals. It’s a great way to ensure that you know the material when they arrive, and you won’t be cramming the night before. Some teachers might have a study guide already. If they don’t provide one for you, you can make one on your own.
