Denver Broncos celebrate their Super Bowl 50 win

Tue. Feb 9. the Denver Broncos celebrate their Super Bowl victory win with the Broncos Parade. According to 9news officials, more than a million fans stood in 20 degree weather to see the players go by on the floats. Downtown Denver held the parade to congratulate the team on their victory, 24-10, on Sunday against the Carolina Panthers.

Many of students from schools districts across Colorado skipped school to attend the parade. Students in schools close to the parade area had no school or were let out early. According to the Denver Post, ”Cherry Creek School District said attendance would be counted Tuesday as it is any other day.”

According to the Denver Post, “A spokeswoman for Cherry Creek schools noted the district has had three snow days this year, and officials did not want students to have “any further loss of instructional time.”

Junior Landon Schutlz skipped school to attend the parade. “I’m a huge Broncos fan and I just wanted to go to the parade to support my team,” said Schutlz.  “The parade was really fun and I would do it all over again.”
