Enrollment for night school spring classes at Endeavor Academy will start on January 22 for any student who needs to make up a credit for failed classes.

“ Endeavor Academy put forth the proposal to the Cherry Creek School District Board of Education last spring,” said Principal of  Endeavor Academy, Mark Morgan through email.“Our goal was to provide an alternative for all high school students in CCSD, with the opportunity to make up credit at night during the school year. We received some funding from the Board of Education and also received a grant from the Colorado Department of Education to fund the rest of it.”

According to Morgan, CCSD Night School was designed for any high school student who had failed a course. “We are already getting great feedback from students … [and] are hearing their sincere gratitude for having one more opportunity to stay current with their graduation plans,” Morgan said.

Bjorn Hansen, the technology coordinator here at Smoky Hill is a tutor for Algebra 1 at the night school, Mrs. Cantu is a math teacher who helps with english classes and geometry; and Mr. Seth Barnes is a physical education teacher who will teach government.

“In each night school class, we have a tutor serving as one more layer of support. Our school district already provides a successful summer school program. With the addition of CCSD Night School, it’s great to see our district’s commitment to providing multiple pathways for students to successfully complete high school,” said Morgan.

In order to secure a spot, students will need to pay $50 per class. For those students who would like to pay during the school day, the Endeavor Main Office is open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
